While the Caractère collection designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is available in pure white and warm colors, the raw black version beautifully reflects the delicate balance between its irregular shape, true to the original design, and the mineral elegance of its material. Black Caractère will captivate with its flawless hygiene, unparalleled mechanical strength, and its natural ability to elevate your dishes, from the simplest to the most refined. Technically revolutionary, the surface of these products, crafted from a black culinary ceramic clay tinted throughout, patinas and smooths over time with use. The exceptional hardness of the material, its perfect porosity, and its thermal properties make it a durable, healthy, and high-performance support, the ideal partner for demanding and intensive culinary applications.
Noé Duchaufour Lawrence and REVOL met in 2018 to start a collaboration that would prove successful. The idea was to create a special collection to celebrate REVOL's 250th anniversary. The Caractere collection is the perfect combination of craftsmanship and French heritage. Manufacturer and designer worked hand in hand for a year to create a collection whose story carries strong values. Today, I work in a wide range of disciplines and materials. It is important for me to have a strong narrative. I approach design with instinct and sensitivity and have worked on a variety of projects in architecture, furniture design, interiors, and limited edition collections. My collaborations include Ligne Roset, Cinna, Saint Louis, Hermès, Ceccotti Collezioni, Bernhardt Design, Sèvres, Mobilier National, Dior, Baccarat, La Chance, Petite Friture, Zanotta, Tacchini, ZaoZuo, Kundalini, Neal Feay, and now REVOL. My approach to design celebrates the meeting of heritage, materials, industrial design, natural forms, and artisanal craftsmanship. A sensitive and talented creator, praised by critics and awarded numerous prizes, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is an outstanding storyteller. Chosen by Revol to imagine an anniversary collection for the 250th anniversary of the factory, the designer drew inspiration from the uniqueness and daily life of the Drôme factory to give birth to "Caractère." Like a calligrapher, he unfolds an alphabet composed of elementary shapes and signs a collection that bears witness to bicentennial know-how.
