The first ceramics date back to the late Neolithic period (6000 BCE). Whether decorative or functional, ceramics have endured through millennia without any negative impact on the environment and still hold an important place in our daily lives today due to their technical properties.
For over 255 years, we have been manufacturing porcelain at the REVOL factory in France, a noble and durable material made from natural mineral substances.True to our commitment to innovation, we set ourselves the goal of being the first to offer the hospitality industry and the general public tableware products made entirely from recycled ceramic paste and glazes.
In 2018, we patented a unique, world-first process to produce a new ceramic paste in a closed-loop system: Recyclay®. This revolutionary process for treating our production effluents allows us to purify water and recover suspended mineral materials from our clays and glazes to create a new ceramic paste with the same technical properties as other REVOL ceramics. Discover in this report the story of recycled ceramic clay.
While production continues to adopt the latest technologies, enabling daily control of energy and water consumption as well as the recovery of these natural resources, the company is now firmly and resolutely committed to sustainable industrialization that benefits everyone and fosters innovation.
The launch in 2020 of the No.W collection, with products made from Recyclay® ceramic, marked a major turning point in the structuring of our CSR commitments. The French family-owned factory is firmly established in its region as a committed player promoting local development and making significant investments in its infrastructure to enhance employee well-being and engagement.
Throughout the ages and across generations, the REVOL teams have humbly shaped a chapter of history to preserve centuries-old craftsmanship and create objects that are durable in both use and composition.
Aged for millennia, ceramic material has never been more relevant. It stands as a leader in ensuring perfectly safe food contact, free from any transfer of volatile substances. In this factory, we create meaningful and durable objects that are kept and reused. With the REVOL teams, our goal is to shape the symbol of a new model of high-quality French industry, one that preserves centuries-old French craftsmanship while reducing its impact on the local ecosystem.

This rigorous global management approach marks the commitment of the entire company since 2017.
Our goal: to ensure the well-being of our employees while protecting our environment and ensuring the sustainability of our activities for the satisfaction of our customers and the consideration of stakeholders. Revol is deeply committed to its time and strives with all its strength to contribute to the absolute necessity of transforming our industries and economies into a sustainable model for the benefit of our planet and future generations.
