A multidisciplinary French designer, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is internationally renowned for his keen sensitivity to materials and details, as well as for the sophistication of his organic forms.
From his initial training as a sculptor, he retained an innate ability to create a dialogue between space and object.
The duality between artistic vision and precise rigor, nature and city, functional and emotional, flows seamlessly through his projects. Whether in interior architecture (such as the Sketch in London, Air France lounges, or the La Transhumance chalet), furniture or object design (produced by Ceccotti, Bernhardt Design, Ligne Roset, La Chance, Hermès, Saint Louis, Revol), or even custom creations for private clients or cultural institutions like the Villa Médicis, his work thrives in collaboration and dialogue with artisans and craftsmen. This approach has only grown in cultural and emotional depth over time.
In order to reconnect with nature and create a meaningful link between man and his environment, he chose to move to Lisbon in 2017.
From this immersion, the project Made In Situ was born. Through its various chapters and encounters—such as the black ceramics of Tondela Barro Negro, the burned cork from the Algarve Burnt Cork, the Azulejos of Viuva Lamego, the bronze from Peniche, and the beeswax candles from Fatima, Bronze & Beeswax—Made In Situ explores, through the lens of the designer’s perspective, a variety of territories: geological, artisanal, economic, and cultural. It is a travel journal with compartments that is bound to expand, both in France and beyond.
